Sound and Vision Film Night: Pride

September's Sound & Vision film screening will be 'Pride'. Showing on the same weekend as the Pride in London 2021 march, this is based on the true story of a group of young LGBT activists in London deciding to raise money for miners' families during the '84/'85 miners' strike. While the film highlights the widespread homophobic discrimination suffered by many during the '80s, more than anything it shows the importance, and strength, of friendship and bonds between communities. An uplifting and, at times, very funny film. Showing Sun 12th Sept at 7pm.
