Our next Sound & Vision film, on Sun. 11th July at 7pm, is 'Leave No Trace' from director Debra Granik ('Winter's Bone' - breakthrough role for Jennifer Lawrence).
A father has chosen to live off-grid in the woods near Portland, Oregon, with his 13-yr-old daughter, minimising contact with the outside world as much as they can. They survive by hunting, harvesting rainwater and being very, very good at building shelters, until something they've worked hard to avoid actually happens. A great understated drama showing how family and community ties, well-meaning as they are, can sometimes conflict.
